Eva's Second Birthday

Happy Birthday!
"Water Park in the Front Yard"

Eve's second birthday was a "Water Park in the Front Yard" theme. I looked around on the internet for "make your own water park" ideas and found some great ones.

I loved the Car Wash made out of PVC pipes and decided that was a must have! Josh and Eve's Papa made our own version/ We spray painted it a beautiful blue. Instead of having all the whole shoot water out we filled half of them with misters so it wasn't such a huge amount of water coming at the kids.

Also added a cheap shower curtain I got from the dollar store.

I added balloons to the Car Wash for extra fun!

This little one played in the Car Wash for HOURS!

Another fantastic addition to the party was the Water Blob! I used the thickest painters tarp I could find, folder it in half and duct taped it together. I left a tiny hole just for the hose, filled it up and closed 'er up. It lasted the entire party with all sizes of kids and adults jumps and sliding on it. It was a HUGE HIT!
Daddy & Eve doing "high-lows". Eve's favorite!

I cut up a couple flower  leis from the dollar tree to add something fun swimming around in the blob.

We had a fun water sprinkler going and a kiddie pool for little ones to play with as well.

Finally, I had a bubble station set up and an ice station set up for some water-free time. You would be shocked at how entertaining ice, water, and food coloring can be for kids! It worked like a charm, everyone loved that too!
Taking advantage of the bubble station before her guests arrive :)

Ice + Water + Food Coloring = Tons of fun!

Overall it was an awesome party! Happy 2nd Birthday Little Boo!

The Grandkid's Playhouse

A Playhouse for Generations of Fun!

You know when you wake up one day and think, "Hey wouldn't it be cool to have a playhouse for the girls to play in?" Well, when you live with Grandma and Grandpa that wishful thinking becomes reality as soon as the weekend hits.

Josh and Dad went to the hardware store, after my dad drew up some plans, and got everything they needed to get started.

Building the base

All 4 walls are up!

Eva loved it! We could have stopped there!
