The Grandkid's Playhouse

A Playhouse for Generations of Fun!

You know when you wake up one day and think, "Hey wouldn't it be cool to have a playhouse for the girls to play in?" Well, when you live with Grandma and Grandpa that wishful thinking becomes reality as soon as the weekend hits.

Josh and Dad went to the hardware store, after my dad drew up some plans, and got everything they needed to get started.

Building the base

All 4 walls are up!

Eva loved it! We could have stopped there!

Eva's First Birthday : Minnie Mouse Party

Eva's First Birthday

Eva's first birthday was a Minnie Mouse theme. We were going to Disneyland almost three times a week and her favorite thing was seeing the characters. Here is a picture of her with Minnie that I used in a frame at her party that all the guests signed.

I made all the decorations from scratch from looking up images of what other people have done for Minnie parties online. Then I just put my own twist on everything I liked. I bought TONS of paper and spent hours with a Cricut machine, and went to town!
Here was Auntie making delicious cake pops - Red Velvet dipped in chocolate with Minnie Mouse bows...mmmm they were fantastic!
Our welcome sign on the front door.
Sign I made attached to painted chop sticks stuck into just a painted styrofoam circle.

I LOVE this banner! I actually still have it because I can't get myself to toss it!
These were little Minnie Mouse head cut outs I taped onto the gift wrapping ribbons and curled. I hung those all over for an extra POP of Minnie. (I put a Minnie head on each side so you couldn't see the tape and the string.)
Eva's Grandma made her a Minnie Mouse dress and painted yellow shoes so she was in theme too!

Eva's first Minnie doll!

And of course... the cake shot!!

It was a fantastic party and the very beginning of what would end up being my new favorite hobby - throwing parties!
